Name: DiPasquale-Goretti (2008) - Mean-damage-building | General comments: The type of damage refers to the mean damage to the entire building.
The authors provide loss ratios that are not differentiated with respect to the building typologies, because there is little variability among them.
The damage scale used is a discrete damage scale varying from 0 (no damage) to 5 (total collapse), but the damage levels are not described and there is no reference to existing damage scales. However the damage scale seems to be the one used in the GNDT form used by the civil department for post-earthquake surveys in Italy (GNDT scheda di primo livello). This is the damage scale input in this database.
