Description

RC continuous bridge - seismically designed/retrofitted USA Observed damage on bridges after 1994 Northridge earthquake from Los Angeles, Riverside, Orange and Ventura.$Paragraph$An extension of this work is described by Basoz and Kiremidjian (1998): They developed statistical curves based on Loma Prieta, 1989 and Northridge, 1994 damage data. Different curves are given for various bridge sub-categories considering the number of spans, the year of design, the Hazus classes and the classification proposed by Basoz and Kiremidjian (1996). Moreover, as for the Northridge earthquake the available reported PGA values obtained from two sources (USGS and WCFS), two different subsets of fragility curves are provided.
