Kircil & Polat (2006) - CR_LFM_HEX:7 (Sd)

Description

Name: Kircil & Polat (2006) - CR/LFM/HEX:7 (Sd) | General comments: Representative 3, 5 and 7 story buildings in Istanbul were designed according to the 1975 version of the Turkish seismic design code (Although the Turkish building was revised in 1998, most of the buildings in Istanbul were constructed before 1998). Seismic hazard: Twelve artificial accelerograms were generated for an earthquake of magnitude 7.5, fault distance of 20, 30, 40 and 50 km and a duration of 40 seconds. Two different types of reinforcement steel were considered (Grade 220 and 420), and therefore reinforcement-type-dependent fragility curves were obtained for each sampled building. The presented fragility curves are the combination of the two materials (the user can refer to the publication for the curves with different reinforcement steel strength). In addition curves for building with 4 and 6 storeys were generated using interpolation among the other curves. The structural period was taken as the average value between X and Y direction.Valid for: TUR
