Buildings: 55 public school $Paragraph$buildings in Istanbul: 4-storey, rectangular $Paragraph$shaped RC moment-resisting frames with RC $Paragraph$shear walls. $Paragraph$Seismic Hazard: 107 horizontal components of $Paragraph$real earthquake accelerograms from mostly $Paragraph$Turkey and USA. The distance and magnitude $Paragraph$ranges are 0-50 km and 5.8-7.6 respectively.$Paragraph$$Paragraph$Fragility curves account for variation in geometric $Paragraph$dimensions, material properties and the angle of $Paragraph$earthquake incidence, and also for the $Paragraph$uncertainty in the estimation of seismic mass of $Paragraph$the building.
