Padgett&DesRoches2009, MSSS steel, Restrainer cables

Description

Padgettandamp;DesRoches2009 USA Seismic Hazard: artificial accelerograms$Paragraph$Exposure: retrofitted bridges in Central and Southeastern United States, 8 schematic bridges as-built and retrofitted.$Paragraph$$Paragraph$The variation of the geometry (span length, column height, deck width), material properties, component behavior and damping are considered.$Paragraph$$Paragraph$Modification factors for the median of the vulnerability curve for each retrofit measure are proposed. The effect of the retrofit measures (also negative) varies for different components and bridge configurations and also for different damage states. The most effective measure for each case is identified. Fragility parameters: Medians=[0.288, 0.518, 0.688, 1.15], Standard deviations=[0.136, 0.21, 0.302, 0.599] Syner-G taxonomy: MM1= MM2= TD1= TD2= DC= DSS= PDC= TC1= NP= TS1= TS2= HP= Sp= SC=None TCa= BC= LS= Taxonomy link: https://publications.jrc.ec.europa.eu/repository/bitstream/JRC80560/lbna25883enn.pdf
