Description

Karimandamp;Yamazaki2003 Japan Seismic Hazard: 250 recorded accelerograms from Japan, United States and Taiwan$Paragraph$Exposure: For the analytical procedure, 2 schematic continuous RC bridges with and without seismic isolation. Piers designed with 1964, 1980, 1991 and 1995 seismic code in Japan. For the simplified procedure, 30 non-isolated bridges models with rectangular piers are considered.$Paragraph$The variation of the pier height and span length has been considered.$Paragraph$A strong correlation was found between the parameters of the vulnerability curves and the pier height and over strength. Using such analytical expressions, it is possible to obtain vulnerability curves for a specific bridge on the basis of height and over strength. $Paragraph$The simplified method may be a very useful tool to construct the fragility curves for non-isolated highway bridges in Japan, which fall within the same group and have similar characteristics. Fragility parameters: Medians=[40.944, 91.84, 117.425, 167.034], Standard deviations=[28.032, 47.843, 57.003, 73.365] Syner-G taxonomy: MM1= MM2= TD1= TD2= DC= DSS= PDC= TC1= NP= TS1= TS2= HP= Sp= SC=None TCa= BC= LS= Taxonomy link: https://publications.jrc.ec.europa.eu/repository/bitstream/JRC80560/lbna25883enn.pdf
