RC brigde, multi span, single columns, skewness greater than 30anddeg; Turkey Seismic Hazard. 114 earthquake ground motions are selected satisfying the following conditions: all earthquake ground motions recorded in Turkey, ground motions recorded from other regions having strike-slip faulting mechanism, ground motions recorded from sites having Vs = 360 m/s, ground motions having PGA = 0.05 g. All of the earthquake ground motions are downloaded from strong motion databases of PEER (http://peer.berkeley.edu/smcat/), COSMOS (http://db.cosmos- eq.org/scripts/default.plx), and General Directorate of Disaster Affairs Earthquake Research Department of Turkey (http://angora.deprem.gov.tr/).$Paragraph$Exposure: a group of 52 ordinary highway bridges in Turkey constructed after the 1990s. Ordinary: Span lengths less than 90m, constructed with normal weight concrete girder, and column or pier elements, horizontal members are supported on conventional bearings, there are no nonstandard components such as; dropped bent caps, integral bent caps terminating inside the exterior girder, C-bents, outrigger bents; offset columns; isolation bearings or dampers, foundations supported on spread footing or pile cap with piles, soil that is not susceptible to liquefaction, lateral spreading, or scour.$Paragraph$Uncertainty in the seismic hazard is accounted for through the use of suites of earthquake ground motions that are representative for the seismicity of the region where the bridges are located.
