Akkar et al (2005) - CR_LFINF_3storey

Description

Name: Akkar et al (2005) - CR/LFINF_3storey | General comments: RC frame structures – Low and Mid Rise – low level seismic design (1975 Turkish Seismic Code). Almost 75% of approximately one million buildings in Istanbul are in this category. Buildings: 32 sample reinforced concrete buildings from two to five-story. Real buildings in Duzce. For the Fragility functions, 9020 equivalent SDOF inelastic response history analysis were carried out for different combinations of period and base shear, and a procedure similar to the displacement coefficient method (FEMA-356) was utilised. Seismic Hazard: 82 recorded accelerograms from Turkey and USA. Uncertainties in lateral stiffness, strength and damage limit states are expressed by using statistical distribution. On the other hand, using a set of 82 strong ground motions spanning a broad range of intensity incorporates randomness of seismic excitations.Valid for: TUR
