Naguit et al. (2017): MWS -Low rise, Half-masonry_Half-wood

Description

Name: Naguit et al. (2017): MWS -Low rise, Half-masonry/Half-wood | General comments: Half-masonry/half-wood (MWS): The post-event building survey was conducted in the island of Bohol in the Philippines. The survey consisted of 100 urban and rural villages, covering a total of 25,862 structures. Majority of the structures are residential houses, representing the building stocks with one to two storeys. MWS represents the structures with layers of concrete hollow blocks in the lower wall and wooden or light materials in the upper wall. The total structure count of MWS in the assembled database is around 8,100. Expert opinion on repair and reconstruction costs have been elicited from local engineers and contractors, from which the damage indices (DI) were computed. The DI served as multipliers to fragility estimates resulting to the vulnerability function.Valid for: PHL
